Puts the signal on the line for the u-Locate and u-Locate+ receivers.
$1,130Locator transmitters for Schonstedt receivers
Three frequencies, up to 5 watts
The Schonstedt Rex transmitter puts a signal on the line for the Rex receiver at 512 Hz, 33 kHz or 82 kHz. Clip on at up to 5 watts, or set it on the ground over the line to induce the signal. It runs on a rechargeable pack that typically charges in under 4 hours.
Two frequencies, runs on D cells
The Schonstedt u-Locate transmitter works with both the u-Locate and u-Locate+ receivers. It sends 33 kHz or 82 kHz on a direct connection, induces 82 kHz from the ground, and runs up to 40 hours on 4 D cells.
What the receivers do without a transmitter
On their own, the Rex and u-Locate receivers pick up live power cables, and the Rex and u-Locate+ also track a sonde. To trace a pipe or cable by clipping on, clamping around it or inducing a signal, you need the transmitter.
