The Fisher Metal Detector M66 is a Valve and Box Locator finding paved over or buried valves, boxes, and vaults. It is able to locate metallic objects, such as water or gas meters and conduit, up to 42″ deep for manhole covers and 18″ deep for valve boxes. With an adjustable length from 28″ to 48″ and an ergonomic handle this unit can be customized to fit operators of all sizes comfortably. The 8″ double-D search coil operates at 4.5 kHz allowing you to locate small or large metal objects suitable for utility and damage prevention searches while the ground rejection VLF (Very Low Frequency) eliminates false signals. The built-in meter conveys signal strength and battery status, while the speaker emits audio tones to indicate changes in the detection field.
